About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and obtained my German “Approbation” in Berlin in the field of cognitive behavioral therapy. I am a member of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Psychotherapists, member of the German Association of Psychotherapists (DPtV) and I am part of the medical register of the Lower Saxony Association of Physicians. I also hold a license to practice as a health practitioner.
I treat, among others, the following disorders:
-
Personality disorders
-
Obsessive-compulsive disorders
-
Depression
-
Anxiety disorders
-
Post-traumatic stress disorders
-
Eating disorders
I also offer couples therapy/counseling.
My professional experience includes working as a psychologist in the psychiatric clinic of the Hans Susemihl Hospital in Emden, as a primary care therapist in the addiction department in Fontane cllinic (psychosomatic clinic) in the greater Berlin area, several years of outpatient work with patients in outpatient practices, and working in a psychiatric day care center in Berlin, where I primarily worked with people with chronic mental illnesses.
I studied psychology at the University of Groningen in English, which is why I also speak English at an academic level and I am happy to offer therapy sessions in English if needed. I also speak Spanish, as I lived in Chile from 2010 - 2011, where I completed a year of community service in a children's home before my studies, working with traumatized girls and young adult women. Before my studies, I also worked as a personal assistant in a self-determined living program with women with corporal disabilities.
I was born in Würzburg (year 1990) and most recently lived in Berlin for several years, where I completed my training as a psychological psychotherapist and obtained my license to practice.
My therapeutic work is characterized by a strong humanistic view, focusing on the special resources and resilience of each person. I continually find the special strengths of people in difficult life situations fascinating and personally enriching.
